I have been trying to call the specially for months and every time I called she either does not answer or she ignores my calls very disappointed
My little Letta J LOVES coming here. She asks for Gma Bunny in the mornings before going in. She's always excited and eager to go to school, so she's super cooperative getting ready in the morning. From the second day on, she would run to Miss Heather or Gma Bunny. I've never dropped her off as anything but excited. A few times when I picked her up, she didn't even want to leave.
For me, I love this daycare because they believe in the same philosophies as me. I feel that I can't provide everything for my daughter, and home away from home provides helps me to fill those gaps. I believe that it takes a village to raise a family and miss Heather, miss Nikki, and gma Bunny are more than that, they are a part of her family.
I had the option to place Letta in the CDC on Ft Riley, but decided that HAFH was a much better fit for our family. What matters to me is that Letta is loved while I am at work. I know this is the case at HAFH. She is loved, learns new things and is well taken care of. I'm so thankful that Nikki had an opening for my baby girl, we couldn't be happier!
I love Miss Nicky and Miss Heather. I have never dropped off my daughter and went to work worrying one time about her safety. She has learned so much since she has been there. She was enrolled in August and already counts to 15 she is only 2 yrs old. She talks so much, and at her other daycare she cried everyday when dropped off. Now she cry's when she has to go home!!!Best thing I did for my daughter I wish I had enrolled her earlier!!!
I have toured this facility and I have to say I was very impressed. Many home day cares do not offer the adequate space or are set up with as much equipment for the toddlers to learn & play with. You wont see one bucket of battery operated toys!! I had mistaken it for a preschool until my wife corrected me.
Very clean,pleasant atmosphere my daughter didn't want to leave. The neatest part was the gal that runs it made most of her equipment instead of buying it!
We are waiting to get in patiently!!

My name is Nichol Brace I opened Home Away From Home licensed daycare in the lower level of a home I was renting in 2011. I relocated from Salina to Manhattan in 2011 with my 2 sons, and I love it here. I always wanted to open my own daycare but when I lived in Salina I went to an orientation class, and for some reason Salina & a daycare didnt feel right so I started selling automobiles, and waited patiently for the right time. When we moved to the "Little Apple" I looked for a job selling cars. I did real good in Salina selling cars. I got a job in Manhattan, and I could not sell one car lol.
I knew it was the right time to open "Home Away From Home". I had the name picked out 7 years prior to opening :) 4 months, on Elling st as a Licensed home daycare, now I have had a Group daycare since 2013. When I purchased my own home in 2015 I was able to create an environment PERFECT for Children. Somewhere Fun, but Educational, and SAFE!
Open Monday through Friday from 7am (6am available per request) to 6pm to help the Riley Co & surrounding area's getting to work less worrisome, I Promise your Child will WANT to come to daycare :) Just ask my 15 referrals I will make available to you.
Here at Home Away From Home we offer a safe, loving environment that is set up like a pre-school but feels like home. Its a place for your child to learn through interactive play, using their imagination, exploring actively,learning cooperation/sharing with peers,dramatic play,dress up,doll play,legos, blocks, soft play area (soft blocks), manipulatives (magna tiles,waffle blocks,utility blocks etc..). Balancing Beam, sand & water table,climbing, running, and singing songs. Their is too much to list :)
We have the tools needed to provide your child with the 4 most important developmental domains. Interactive Play/Provider and children communicating, playing, talking, teaching. Thats what YOU want to pay for:)

To whom it may Concern,
Nicky has been watching my son, Alex, for awhile. This was his first daycare, and he was very upset the first couple days I dropped him off. He warmed up quickly and Nicky was wonderful with him! He is always so happy to show me the cool toys when I go to pick him up. He has learned so much since he has been with Nicky. He can now say many words, when he was only saying momma and dada when he started. She has always been very attentive and let's me know if Alex gets any scrapes from falling down (as young kids do). I couldn't imagine Alex anywhere else! I love how she is always telling me the things they did that day and is affectionate towards my son. It's the way I want him to be raised and I'm glad that she is the one he spends his time with.
