Dear Bob the Builder-
Thank you for your feedback about our school. SMS continually re-evaluates our environmental footprint. We want to reassure readers that there is no arsenic in the playground (pressure treated lumber is no longer preserved with arsenic), we use non-disposable diapers when parents provide them, we compost, recycle and participate in the organic Farm to School program. We are doing what we can, and hope to do more in the future.
We change childrens' diapers when necessary for their health and comfort at school, however, this situation sounds like more of a diaper mix-up/ misunderstanding.
Having VERY small classrooms, observations are kept to a minimum for the sake of the children. Parent requests for observations are always honored.
We believe that Montessori can work with every child, but it is true that you must find a school that is the right fit for your child, family, and beliefs.
Thank you for sharing your child with us! We truly love and appreciate each of our students and always have their best interests at heart, which is the most important thing!
Thanks again for the comments.

Concept of mother, daughter, granddaughter creating, teaching and attending this school seemed so home-grown and neat. Something just never seemed quite right. Even coming by with my child prior to enrolling wasn't warmly received. We were told it was disruptive, to sit in a corner and not to stay but 10 minutes. Odd. Lots of rotating staff, sometimes weekly. Tout being a "green" school, but use a lot of things that are notoriously not biodegradable and not all food is organic. Can't say if pressure treated lumber outside where kids play is "green". It's full of arsenic. Sent a lot of diapers - far more than child would use - and was often asked to send more. I wouldn't think 20 diapers in 18 hours of care would be necessary when the same child would use 8-9 at home during that time. Seemed as though the staff were contantly critical of parents' interaction with their children. It was so subtle it seemed as though they weren't.
Just know that Montessori is interesting, but not for everyone. The same with this school.
