Kidz Lodge

YMCA’s Kidz Lodge kicked my son out of their daycare after he had been there for 2 1/2 years. He had began having issues when he got a new teacher. When the daycare director, Deb, dismissed him she also said told me none of the kids wanted to play with him (which 3x moms reached out to play dates after we left)! We argued that it was more than just him, and they should see this is not his typical behavior since he had been there so long.. The director didn’t even care to consider it could be the new teacher and had a waiting list of other kids to fill his spot. The director then forged my signature in the behavioral reports, which they are required to do before dismissing a child and obviously never did!

Now with the CV19, the daycare is still charging full enrollment cost, dismissed 2/3 of their staff without pay and opened the YMCA affiliated gyms as additional childcare center and charging for essential workers’ kids to attend. They don’t even care to pay their laid off workers and are BANKING on this pandemic! It’s disgusting! They boast about helping the community, but are heartless!

I find the staff friendly and helpful and am happy to be there. There isn't always someone at the front desk when I drop off in the morning, but there are two-three teachers in the classroom. They greet us and help with drop off as some mornings are smooth and others not so much.

Staff is very unfriendly; poor communication between parents and teachers; teachers pick an choose favorites and they don’t show much interest in all the students! Try talking to the director but got us nowhere.
