I have used this provider for more than 6 months

this day care called to inform me that they will no longer transport my child to and from school any more at the end of business on the Friday before school was to start back. my child is in sped preK. the owners told me that if he cant come out with the "REGULAR" kids then they refuse to pick transport him to and from school. now they did this at such a late time that I was not able to find another daycare and am faced with either quitting my job or removing my child from school. in my opinion, this is a major discrimination against my child disability. do not use this day care. they are solely about the money and not the children. once again, my opinion only.

@Gabby Orive- I actually just inquired about touring this education facility as an option for my grandchild to attend Kindergarten. I'm very particular ultimately about where he will be going. I'm definitely look for an established school that will have passionate educators and not a teacher whose there for just the check. A place that I will feel safe in leaving him when I walk out the door. Thanks for your review. I hope your baby is okay and you've found a loving daycare.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

On Friday, March 15th I was picking up my 3 month old daughter around 3pm from the Gentlemen and Ladies Academy located in Cordova on Bonnie Lane near Dexter Rd. The owner approaches and says "something happened today, but its not that bad." He then goes on to explain how a 2 year old ran to my daughter and bit her finger while she was sitting in the chair facing the TV. Mind you not even facing any other child. I asked him how exactly did this happen because I thought the room my infant is in is separated by a wall for toddlers on the other side. He explained how they switched rooms a couple days ago and now the toddlers are able to walk or crawl freely towards the infants side of the room. I implied on when did they plan on telling me they switched my daughters room from the original room I was shown she was going to be in BECAUSE US PARENTS are NOT allowed to go to the back in the room your child is in. To pick up your child you have to wait in the front. As a first time mom I'm livid at this point because of only 2 weeks my daughter attending this day care I'm realizing there is no coordination. The owner started giving and showing scenarios of how the incident happened, which I asked if he was there when it happened and he said no. Therefore, I asked him I'd like to see the camera footage of the incident not hear how or what happened if he wasnt even there. Saying this he quickly ran to his office, as I am buckling my daughter in her car seat, getting her backpack, I then when to his office just for him to tell me the camera was not installed or even on in the room that they were in at the time. This day care is as grimy as it sounds. I'm sharing this because I would like for other parents in the Cordova area to be aware of this day care and not be fooled by the area the day care is in nor be fooled by the owner's introduction of how the daycare is. The 2 weeks my daughter was there everything he said on how they run their day care is FALSE. there is no coordination, inadequate coverage (1 adult with 10+kids and more being dropped off every morning) , low standards for safety and cleanliness, and lack of communication. Infants should not be in the same open space room as toddlers as they are advanced than infant who cant even defend themselves. My daughter was discharged from Lebonheur around 6pm and of course will not be returning to this day care. I hope this reaches out to all parents around Memphis, as a first time mom you can only imagine how I feel. At this time I'm happy that shes a happy baby.
