Garrick Family Home Daycare

I couldn’t say enough about Garrick home daycare.   My son who is now almost 3 has been going there since he was 6 months old.   First and foremost I want to make comment on the extreme cleanliness of the home (this was something very important to me) she does a great job on keeping clean and washing hands with the children and etc.  Second, the house itself is set up perfectly.   I love the inside area and a separate area for nap but outside is the selling point!   They have outside play at least twice a day and the back yard is safe and secure and well kept, my son LOVES it out there!   Lastly is Miss Shannon herself, enough couldn’t be said.  Her warm and welcoming demeanor, her patient and caring personality, she is like family now.  No one I would trust more to help me raise my son!  She is always spot on with her communication and she has provided proper care if my son gets hurt or falls ill while waiting for me to pick him up.  I can comfortably go to work not only knowing he’ll have a fun filled day but also knowing he’s in safe hands. 

I could not be happier with the care my son receives at Garrick Family Daycare. Shannon is an honest, hardworking, loving, & dependable caregiver. Her home is clean and inviting. I absolutely love the outdoor play area. The small size of this daycare is wonderful as my son has several children  to interact with, but doesn’t get lost in a mass of kids. Shannon’s medical background puts me at ease because I trust that she would notify me or 911 if, God forbid, something happened. 

My son has attended this daycare for nearly two years, from age 1 to almost 3 years old. He has so much fun with his daycare buddies and learns a lot from Miss Shannon. I feel comfortable dropping him off every day knowing he will be cared for as if he were Miss Shannon's own child, and he is kept safe and healthy in her care. He eats nutritious meals and snacks, gets a restful midday nap, and gets structured and unstructured play each day. Miss Shannon has an awesome fenced backyard where the kiddos can play and enjoy the warm weather, under an enormous shade tree, with all sorts of fun playground equipment. Indoors, there are lots of toys and educational activities and crafts. My husband and I absolutely adore getting photos and video of our son throughout the day. Miss Shannon also plans special days now and again that my son absolutely looks forward to, and he loves telling us about his day. In a perfect world, I would be independently wealthy and able to keep my son home with me every day. The Garrick Family Daycare is second-best only to that scenario.

refused to take my child back in care even though there was a doctor's note stating that she was cleared to re-enter care. also, left me and other parents high and dry multiple days requiring us to find alternate care for our children. every time with inadequate notice. upon suspending care with my child, refused to provide the refund for the week that I had already paid for. did all of this through text message.,
