Tots Learning Center

I was an employee, and I can assure you that Tots Learning Center is NOT professional, clean, or committed to educating your child. Thed current director has pushed out any remaining great employee's and has no experience in running a center. The rooms are filthy and outdated, and the teachers receive no support. Tots is all about the money and they hide behind their "Christian values."

They are not professional administrators.

Hello- I am the the Assistant Director of TOTS Learning Center. Please be advised that the care of your child(ren) is of the utmost importance to our Staff and Administration here at the Center. As confirmed by the Children's Services Division of Portage County this date, TOTS Learning Center followed all required protocols in this instance and was never investigated or founded for any wrongdoing in this matter.
We are a Christian based day care center committed to providing a nurturing and educational environment. The staff communicates with our parents daily regarding the abilities and growth of their children. We also communicate any health or medical concerns to parents and/or any necessary parties in a prompt and courteous manner.

my son who is almost 4 in August has attended since 2016. He loves it there, they provide exceptional care to my child. He has learned and continues to learn everyday, also I Love that it's Christian church atmosphere my son also gets to learn about Jesus and has learned to pray and how to tell certain bible stories. He absolutely loves the staff especially his two teachers for his class. we began as "wobblers", he was almost 2. The first teacher he had also taught him to sign as in sign language. once he advanced to toddler room he became potty trained so easily and effectively. his restroom, eating, socializing, learning, and all around all deamener is amazing as we watch him grow more day by day. he is now in junior preschool and continues to thrive and learn. we love all the staff they are wonderful and kind. my child knows all staff and loves them as his own family as do we as well. I recommend this facility for so many reasons but the best one to us is watching how kind, sweet, and smart my little boy is and is becoming more and more everyday. another wonderful asset is an app they use called bright wheel, they use as a communicating tool with parents. it's an app and very easy to use. updates on restroom use, naps, food intake, and wonderful photos are added constantly as they give you a run down of the day also letting you know when your child arrives and is checked in and leaves and is checked out. these wonderful people will love and care for your child as one of their own. I thank goodness for them everyday as my son spends Monday thru Friday 8 to 10 hours daily there. it is so hard to leave your child when you work but knowing someone is taking care of them in the exact aspect as you makes it easier than I ever imagined.

If I could give this rating 0 stars I would! My 2-year old granddaughter started Tot's in Ravenna, Ohio March 6, 2018, in which she was scheduled to attend two days a week. The first day went great. We all received wonderful updates throughout the day on the "Brightwheel.com" app used by the preschool. Check-ins were made with pictures, activities and meal consumptions, all showing and indicating her having a good time. However, her second day turned into a crying fit for her Dad and wanting to leave. By mid-afternoon, we were called by a staff member saying "my granddaughter had a UTI evidenced by blood when she was wiped. We took her immediately to her doctor. No UTI but, evidence of "strong irritation" not evident during my granddaughter's last checkup 2-weeks earlier. My granddaughter showed no evidence of blood when wiped. The following week and her 3rd day of preschool, my granddaughter again cried and displayed a fear to stay at the preschool, begging her Daddy to take her home. Again, by midafternoon, her Mommy receives another telephone call saying her daughter has another UTI, indicated by blood when wiped. Again, my granddaughter is taken to her pediatrician and no evidence of a UTI is found. The days that follow, my son-in-law's Mother, myself and our children see a dramatic change in my granddaughter. She is irrational, crying all the time, afraid to leave her Mommy and Daddy. Waking up with night-terrors. Acting completely out of her normal. A happy all of the time little girl, now totally transformed to being totally afraid in just three days visit of this "learning center." Tot's Learning Center has refused to reimburse the prepaid month's enrollment fee! Children's Services have indicated that Tot's Learning Center cannot make assumptions of medical issues. And, any possible conditions must be documented and reported to the head of Children's Services. The administrator of Children's Services stated no documentation or report was filed.
