Southeast Primary School

The Southeast Local School District is located in the southeastern portion of Portage County and has a strong reputation in academics, athletics, and extracurricular programs. The district was formed in 1950 with the consolidation of five townships (Charlestown, Deerfield, Edinburg, Palmyra, and Paris), and it encompasses 125 square miles. This makes our district one of the largest geographically in the state. This makes us unique but it also makes the school the hub of the area where people can gather to enjoy many of the great events at the school. Outdoor enthusiasts will love this area as people come from many miles to enjoy camping, fishing, swimming, hunting, hiking and boating available at West Branch State Park and Berlin Reservoir which are both located within the boundaries of our district. We are also fortunate to have several institutions of higher learning nearby, including the University of Akron, Kent State University, Youngstown State University, and the Northeast Ohio Medical University.
