As a parent of this preschooler I have been satisfied with the majority of my child's care until the last few weeks. The teachers my child had encountered up to now are caring, responsible teachers. They have taught my child but also have nurtured her. She had classrooms that were decorated with colorful, positive, Christian messages. The rooms were educationally and spiritually focused. Recently though the daycare has been making changes that I and other people I've talked to do not like. The walls have been stripped of posters,references to the Bible, and the labeling of the toy areas. My daughter is increasingly becoming unhappy there. There has been a few turnovers in the staff and my child misses them. She doesn't like all the pictures being gone. She is upset that they don't make things together any more. The most disturbing though is that she doesn't like that Ms. Beth, the director, is always fussing at the teachers. I can no longer recommend this preschool and a few of us are considering finding a new preschool.

About the Provider
The Church Street UMC's Child Day Care Center is part of a holistic ministry with children through Church Street United Methodist Church. As an outreach ministry of the church, it seeks to provide children of diverse economic and cultural backgrounds with a quality program through which each child and family is nurtured physically, socially, mentally, and spiritually in a Christian environment.
