The Learning Journey II

I was very disappointed that our experience with this daycare went downhill so quickly. We had had a terrible experience prior and then this daycare made me swear off all daycares period. Weekly incident reports for my son being injured."teachers" laughing when other kids hurt my son, as he was laying on the floor crying, dirty looks at drop-off, then, when I asked about the injuries, my son got kicked out. I spoke to other parents whose children were also kicked out, and was told the staff plays favorites. Overall, incredibly displeased with this experience. I really wanted my son to have the social development that comes with daycare, but not at the cost of his physical and emotional well-being.

I would never recommend this daycare to anyone I cared about. I'm extremely disappointed in the care we received here and my child is much happier since we left.

At first our experience here was good, and then it started going downhill with the hiring of the current staff. When I picked him up, he was almost always in a very soiled diaper. He constantly had diaper rash. He was being bitten constantly (roughly 6 or 6 incident reports signed in less than 6 months, and those are just the ones they caught. Several instances that I had to find out about at bath time) and at one point he was shoved down to the floor and cried, and the teacher laughed. When I tried to address it, he was moved to a room he was not prepared for (a 2 year old moved to the preschool room) and then he was kicked out because he required "too much redirection during circle time". I'm disgusted with how this situation was handled. No notice. I have never received a call from them that he was being bad and needed to be picked up. Whenever I've check in, they always told me he was a great kid and really chill. It went from that to kicking him out. When I spoke to other parents I received the same feedback and was told that the teachers choose favorites, and treat the other kids poorly, which is why they pulled their kids from the daycare as well. I would never suggest this daycare to anyone. There are much better places for your child.

Finding a daycare was hard for us after we moved to Council Bluffs but we are so glad we chose Learning Journey. We receive papers daily that explains how their day was and my kids are always excited to see their teachers. They also have multiple cameras in every room for piece of mind and locked entry so they know who is coming and going and that they are safe. I would highly recommend this daycare if your looking for care in the area.

All three of my children go to the location on 92 and we love it . All the staff are awesome and I can tell love my kids ! Owner is great and makes sure my children are well cared for at all times :) my cousin takes her children to the other location and she loves that one as well ! She said staff is awesome . Our children love being a part of such a well taken care of place and they love their teachers and little friends !

This place is probably the worst child care facility I have ever taken my daughter to. Never once would I recommend this place to anybody. My daughter was physically abused, and neglected here. The daycare teachers rarely changed her diaper, she always had rashes and she came home telling me her teachers "hurt her" and had bruises to show it. She is three and tries to use her words in most cases. The director Lisa is really unprofessional and disrespectful. The employees are even worse. Please beware before taking your children here.
