It's tough choosing a place to leave your kids, since you never know what's happening when you can't be there to see. But we can't recommend Closest To Home enough!
Both our girls attended this daycare for a few years. Our younger loved her pre-school years, and we can see her successes in social development and educational progress now from her early experiences with this day care team. Our elder child enjoyed her after-school years. It's not just a watch-this-movie-and-be-quiet kind of place; they schedule lots of play time outdoors, plenty of homework time for school-agers, and lots of extra-curriculars. The owner invites outside educational opportunities, like dance, karate, music, gymnastics, and other experiences.
The staff are very attentive and flexible. If we needed to drop our girls off before 7:00a, or pick up as late as 6:00p, they were great. And the cost is terrific compared to other daycare facilities we have used or inquired about.
Good people, safe environment, lots of learning, lots of encouragement, great communication with parents, and a great experience for all ages.

About the Provider
Our loving staff are CPR trained and enrolled in the Idaho STARS achievement program and most are mothers themselves. We have been at this facility for over six years and many of our children have been with us growing and learning in our home-style environment. Our low turn-over is a tribute to the nurturing environment and dedicated staff. Our staff nutritionist follows the Child and Adult Care food program guidelines, staff members are continuing their university degree programs in Child Development, and we partner with the Idaho Child Care Program. On site classes include Musical Kids, Kidz Kickz (Karate) and Dance Connections for additional costs.
