I gave this daycare 1 star because of the way they treated my son, myself, his father and my mother. I didn't feel like they treated my son correctly. That's just the mommy instinct that I had every time I picked him up and dropped him off. He was only there for a week and I switched him. His father came with me to pick up our son and they kept looking at him funny and asked about 3 times who he was picking up when they clearly saw us together. Twice I had dropped him off a little earlier the usual and a teacher there didn't comfort my son and made him feel secure. He had only started 3-4 days prior, so he was crying and trying to get away. I told the woman that she needs to grab him and comfort him because holding the door open and expecting him to just walk in by saying "come on Daniel it's okay" isn't going to work and her response was "I don't have the strength to hold him or pick him up" ???? Please explain to me what you're doing working with children that you don't have the strength to take care of. That same day when I went to pick him up, she literally was pushing him out of the door, making him walk faster and his teacher sort of smiled at me and slammed the door in my face.
You're also not allowed to walk into the daycare, so you have no choice but to stand in the doorway while people are behind you trying to drop off their children to go to work which bothered me because I never saw the room where he stayed. They always slammed the door in my face. Never welcoming and when I picked him up they had the little window covered, so no one could look in. Every time I dropped him off or picked him up he was always somewhere in the back.

When I finally went to pick up his stuff because he was no longer returning back there, I sent my mother and a teacher asked if she can come back tomorrow because his teacher was out sick and she didn't know where my sons stuff was. So, you mean to tell me if he was in school that day he would've been in a dirty diaper all day, without a blanket for nap time and without a change of clothes if he got dirty? Not acceptable. Every adult should know where everyone's stuff is. Every child should have their cubby with their stuff in, so it's easy access for anyone. The teacher was annoyed because she had to call his teacher and ask where my sons stuff was and she told my mother that she's entitled to get sick. Okay? I don't care about her being sick. You should know where his stuff is and there would be no problem. She finally called his teacher and she directed her where his stuff was. The teacher comes out and basically shoves all his stuff in my mothers arms, not neatly put in his bag or anything. Never again will I place my child in a daycare that's not diverse and where most of the people there speak another language. Another thing that bothered me was not one person decided to contact me after days of my son not being in school to check up on him and make sure that he was doing okay. Little children fall through the cracks and daycares need to be on top of these children once they see they haven't been reporting to school and the parents haven't called. Some children live in abusive homes and nobody knows. It's so sad. I never had any problems with the other daycare my son was in. They would call me once everyone took attendance and that was around 10:30 am to make sure everything was fine with him.

I'm so happy I moved him to Little Hands & Feet. It's extremely diverse and I'm able to walk into the daycare and give him a proper drop off. His teacher texts me and lets me know how he's doing and sends me pictures of him throughout the day. I'm so happy I made the change. I wish I would've never had my son at that horrible daycare.
