Sunshine House

My kids love this daycare!! They have been going for over 2 years and never have had any problems. I trust these girls with my children!! Never have my kids not wanted to go. I recommend the sunshine house 100%!! It's clean and my kids love the food! My kids are safe and happy here!!

On 10/24/16 teacher, Justina Benjamin, physically abused my child and the daycare center Sunshine House is refusing to do anything about it. She purposefully threw a ball so hard at my child to punish him for bad behavior, it left a mark on him which was still visible 3 hours later, which I took a picture of. After my child complained of being hurt, Justina told my child he was a “crybaby” and tattletale”. After my child “told” on her, she encouraged 2 other children to physically kick and hit my child as well to get back at him for telling. My child is only 9 years old and this teacher is bullying him.

Child abuse and bullying cannot be tolerated at a daycare center or anywhere for that matter. Please know, Sunshine house is refusing to fire this teacher and also is refusing to report her to local licensing agencies and children services as I was told should happen by the Grove City Police Department. We did file a report with them as well. Sunshine House is saying they cannot prove the teacher intended to hurt my child and her forms of punishment will be addressed. This is just not acceptable.

Sunshine House also dis-enrolled my children as they felt my concerns simply weren't worth the headache. They told me this teacher reported that I threatened her, which I didn't. I actually have video of her threatening my child, but of course she still works there.

Her name is Justina Benjamin. Please call Sunshine House and let them know their center and this teacher are not welcome around our children in Grove City. Help keep your children safe.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS CENTER

All I can say is that they left my 1 year old outside alone an no one was with him at all cause they did not know he was outside. The corporate office was informed an the director told us she fired the teacher but forgot to tell us that 1week before this happened 2 teachers went to the director and told her the the teacher was throwing my son in a chair an telling him to sit the Fxxx down. When I talked to the director she stated she did not have to tell me everything that happens with my children!!!! Let's just say my kids no longer attended this daycare an never will!!! Be very careful an make sure they put locks on the doors that lead to the outside
