I have used this provider for less than 6 months

When my children first attended Ms. Montilla daycare I was a little skeptical about leaving my children. However two other parents that I've known for a few years had their children there as well so, it made me feel a little at ease. The first couple of months started off ok, till one day one of the staff members was terminated without any prior or proper notification. Ms. Montilla failed to properly advised parents of these new changes in staff nor did she make arrangements to have a greet and meet; not even a formal introduction. I think all parents have the right to know about every new person working at a daycare. Since the new assistant started working at the daycare, my children were dirty all time, bottles/Sippy cups weren't clean properly, they ate the same meal (Soup) all the time. My children weren't learning anything educational except for what was on the television. The assistant didn’t speak any English; one person should be bilingual. This new staff member was left ALONE the majority of the time. I guess that is why parents were complaining their children were hungry all the time. I also noticed that the children under two were always left in a play pen or stroller; these children never had the chance to stretch and move around. I guess it was easier for them to do nothing at all. Allegedly one of my children would cry all the time, to the point my neighbors and including the Superintendent would tell me that he would hear my child crying for more than 20 minutes. I've witnessed the child care provider sleeping on the job; I also witnessed the stove on full blast unattended making her coffee, while being in another area. Easily any curious child can touch the stove while on, there was absolutely nothing placed at the entrance of the kitchen to protect the children. One time an older child (probably less than 8 yrs. old) opened the door when I arrived to pick my children, which should've never happened. You do not know who is on the other end. When I expressed my concerns to Ms. Montilla, her attitude was very rude and obnoxious; her attitude was "If you don't like the daycare, why do you have your children here?" She never once made me feel like my concerns were important, none of the issues that I has expressed in past were never resolved. In my opinion I feel like she is running her business to make a quick buck. As a parent, I do not expect anyone to take of my children the way that I do but, I do expect childcare providers to at least step in as a second parent figure while caring for my/or any children, to be very caring and nurturing. I also expressed my concerns to the agency that is affiliated with Ms. Montilla daycare; as of today I was never received a called back regarding my concerns. Who does this?? Another parent called 311 and filed a report, which led to an inspection. However the daycare passed inspection because she had enough time to make sure she wouldn’t fail. I am pretty sure she was notified by someone at the agency that I expressed my concerns, so why not be prepared just in case the State makes a visit. THANK NYC for allowing people like this to become licensed daycare providers. I would never ever refer anyone to this so called daycare. This goes to show you that anyone can run a daycare as long as you don’t have any criminal background.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

MY CHILD ALWAYS CAME HOME HUNGRY.NO fundamental right to education. One of Lissellot certified doesn't speak English .Lissellot is never she is working @ her mother's salon down the block from her Daycare. most importantly when walking in her APARTMENT BY THE KITCHEN roaches were crawling on WALL. I told her you need and exterminator she responded back and said no ( while tryin to kill them) one of the moms came in with a stroller with them. .
As a mother I was very concerned also had a few conversations with Lisa she would not take it well and denies and would have an attitude. She has no children of her own so she doesnt understand how important it is for mother with so many concerns. and when I pick up my child they never explain to me how was my childs day what they had for lunch dinner etc ...
I WOULD NEVER REFER NO ONE TO THIS DAYCARE
