Our family is extremely grateful for Maria and her husband. We came from a big daycare center setting and needed to find somewhere smaller with less germs and exposure to sickness. Our oldest son (2yrs old) within the first years of life had so many ear infections from germs/colds that he had to have tubes surgically placed into his ears. With that being said, one of the doctors suggestions was to try to limit his exposure to germs/sickness. As a working parent this was difficult for me because I wanted a safe, consistent, and positive daycare environment for my kids. I liked the openness of a bigger daycare center because there are more eyes but dreaded the expose to twice as many germs and more sickness.
Maria lovingly welcomed our sons into her home last fall. Her home is consistently clean and well organized. You can tell she enjoys what she does. She works with the kids individually and keeps the parents updated which is really appreciated. She even offered to make organic baby food for my younger son which was outstanding. In addition, my husband and I have come to pick up our sons up several occasions and have seen her husband and son playing on the floor with the kids. As a parent, this helps me to feel more secure knowing my children are included, safe, and cared about. In my opinion, the “Golden Age for Kids” (Maria) is an exception in-home day care provider and I would highly recommend it.
