My daughter attended this day are for 3 years. Throughout that time the care provided to her was adequate but the curriculum taught was inconsistent. There was a brief period where she had homework daily then that stopped before the summer time and never picked back up the following school year. But more importantly than that, the director Evelyn who often works by herself has multiple early and full day (non-holiday) closures throughout the year, often with very little notice! This last date that she closed on Friday 1/22/16 she did not send a notice home like she usually does or even confirm verbally or through text that she was going to be closed. I did not find this out until I showed up at the day care and upon calling her she refers back to a statement she'd made two weeks prior telling me and I quote "I'm thinking of closing the Friday after MLK day but I'm not sure..." As a result I had to call out of work and since she did not provide daycare services that day, I deducted that day from my regular bi-weekly payment. Her reaction was returning my payment and sending me the following text only AFTER I called her to inquire about the returned payment:
"Hey Serenity,
Effective immediately child care services for Ava will be terminated. Mother Goose Daycare has the right to terminate for the following, Due to parent / provider differences. Please accept you returned childcare payment."
This woman is extremely unprofessional and contrary to what I believed can't possibly give a damn about the children she cares for since this is how she responds to HER communication error. DO NOT subject yourself or your child to such poor behavior.
