This center has undergone a significant transformation since the new administration took over the front office. Before their arrival in the fall of 2024, it was a welcoming, supportive, and wonderful environment. It was disheartening to witness Lorie and Becca depart, leaving behind their remarkable professionalism and footprint. the 20 something years Lorie worked hard to make this center successful and also THE BEST CENTER IN RACINE PERIOD! and that wasn’t just from parents, this was stated by visitors, licensors, and NAC raters who said that ST. Edwards at that time was the Example for other Childcares to follow and learn from. I’m happy to see that other staff and families chose to follow in their footsteps as well. The staff turnover was ridiculous after the new Director took over. why would anyone want their children to attend or work here? While there are some dedicated teachers like Mrs. Janet, Mrs. Marita, and Ms.Tammi, the overall quality of the center is lacking. Unfortunately, there aren’t many good centers in the area, and this one stands out as one of them.
This center has out of date toys and they are continually out of ratio. I work there and would not send my worst enemies child there. The children are given water to drink when there isn't enough milk to go around the center. Staff is not highly educated and the director and assistant director do not require professionalism from the staff (hence the wearing of Brewer's shirts and other "not appropriate clothing)
Children aged 2 and up have to climb upstairs to classrooms. Also I was suprised about the live animals in the classrooms without any kind of notification given to parens regarding allergies.
Save your money and go some where else!
