About the Provider

Description:

A group child care center that is focused on treating everyone as family. Family Childcare in a "home like" setting is the best alternative for working parents. Mauer Home School will provide a small and secure enviroment for children during the most important time of their development. This center will strive to be the home away from home for your child providing children of all ages to play with, socialize with, and learn from one another.

Our students are individual personalities, seeking to develop skills and competencies specifically provided in our classrooms.

Our teachers are professionals who are fully experienced in their area of work and have the ability to impart knowledge and skills accurately and lead our students to successful learning processes both in theory and practice.

We invite you to learn more about our academic offerings, here on our web site. Do not hesitate to contact us to get more information. We are happy to provide more information on our programs.

Our Goal in providing quality child care for your child is to provide:

A safe enviroment

A nurturing enviroment

A learning enviroment....learning is not necessarily the ABC's and 123's, but is also the learning of values as well as social and behavioral skills. The learning of honesty, respect, confidence, self-reliance, and self-discipline.

SInce children occasionally need discipline, it is important that we share a similar philosophy so that your child is not confused as to where the boundaries are and what is expected from him/her. Children are taught which behaviors are inappropriate, why they are inappropriate, and given alternatives that are acceptable. In this way, the behavior is being changed without making the child feel "bad" or unloved. This helps develop their self-esteem, and teaches them how to handle difficult situations themselves. Disapproval will be expressed without attatching character. Expectations will be stated and the child will be shown how to make amends. The child will always be given a choice on how to handle behavioral actions.

Unconditional Love.......This is very important to our center because this kind of love is very important to children; no child should grow up feeling that in order to be loved and cared for that they must meet numerous conditions.

Communication is key to a successful child care arrangement. The parents and the provider need to have a good working relationship so thay can communicate and work together. The parents and the provider need to exchange pertinent information in the child's life such as changes in routine, special events, or activities. As well as changes such as death, divorce, separation, moving, visitors, etc. All this information can be important in understanding the child's feelings, behavior, and well being.
