If I had a choice I would give this place a 0 star. Most of the staff is rude and obnoxious. Everyone seems to have an attitude, though a few of the counselors are nice. Everyone is screaming, and there is nothing much for the kids to do. Children learn from their elders, and if the people in charge are like this what can we expect from the youngsters. I tried to work here but I left the place as soon as I could. Its suffocating. I hope they make the place better for the children.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

We are tired of being quiet and allowing this center to be runned the way it is. This center is supposed to be for the astoria houses families. But it seems as if the director Ralph have his own way of doing things. Not only does he treat the kids unfair. He doesn't let the community know of various activities going on with the center. He waits until all of his close family and friends occupy our activities and then he allows a few of the kids from the community go on the activities to make it looks well. His staff doesn't even reflect 5% of the community. Also if your child has an encounter with one of his children who attends the center, please be aware your child will be suspended and his children will still be there. Last summer the kids barely went on any trips,  and when a big trip came he didn't inform the community at all . I just think it's very selfish of someone to work in a community,  and doesn't support the kids and families in the community.
as for the summer camp the application process was selective. And there's some kids who just came out of no where. When some of the parents brought back the application for the kids, we was informed there wasn't enough space for the our children, and there is a waiting list etc. Don't waste your time allowing your children to come to this center.
