I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Wow - surprised at that bad review! Could a daycare really stay open if they did all those things mentioned? Sorry, but I have a hard time believing that. We've had BOTH of our children there and never encountered anything but positive, nurturing environments. So thankful Lighthouse Christian Preschool is there for us... they have become like family.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My child has been at LH since 8 weeks old. I often went in to visit unannounced and was always welcomed. After years of love and care for my child the staff have become just like family.
There is no where else in town I'd rather have my children.

We have had our kids at Lighthouse for around 4 years and could not be happier. It is a loving, family environment and the curriculum is excellent. I read the other review posted here, and I'll say I'm more than a little skeptical about many aspects of this story. When my kids were in the nursery, I came in many times on many days to visit, nurse, etc, and was warmly welcomed and encouraged to do so. I was never bothered by anything going on in there or any of the other classrooms. Very highly recommend this daycare/preschool!

The first day I went to check the place out they were having a fire drill when we got there. The infants were not included. They didn't act like that was unusual.
They told me that I could stay the first day when we reserved a spot. During my visit they were very negative about this. They said it was hurtful to her. The literature I've read said it is important to spend time at a daycare with your child. When I told them about that they said their literature said I shouldn't. They couldn't tell me what publication.
I was given a very ignorant story by the tall skinny one with the long hair about how "Asians (no specifics as to which kind (Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean etc)) go back to work and the grandmother carries the baby around all day every day. And then when the child turns three the grandmother goes back to Asia and the child goes to daycare and it only takes 2 or 3 weeks to break them. Her words.
I was made to feel like staying with my 6 month old would confuse her and make her think that I would stay every time. My 6 month old was smart then but I doubt able to put all that together. I complained to the accountant/caretaker. She told me to do what I had to do.
The next day that lady tried to bar me from entering the nursery with my baby. She wanted me to leave my sleeping baby in her carrier and go. She said to put her on the floor outside the care area and they would get her when she woke up. In my mind the car carrier is for the car. She argued with me for almost ten minutes telling me that I shouldn't stay, that I should leave her and come back later. She told me no parents ever stay and my response was "they should". I wanted to know what her day would be like. Finally I asked if it was against the rules she said no. I asked to be let in she didn't move and told me how bad it is to do for the tenth time. I told her I was going in or we were both leaving.
The next few hours were incredibly awkward. They all seemed uncomfortable. They had to keep leaving the room to use a coffee pot to heat the bottles saying theirs was broken. They started using the microwave. The noise that came from all the swings being on at once was maddening. A little boy was asleep on his face in the crib room. Maybe he rolled that way it just looked bad. The babies were left in toys like the exersaucer until they cried which was a very long time. They weren't playing, just standing there waiting. One boy was very sick and his nose and eyes were running nonstop. He sneezed on us a few times. I held my baby the whole time trying to decide if I should leave or try to stay longer. There were 8 babies in the room, two were supposed to move on that week. I was left alone with these babies more than once without a word. I called the next day to cancel my reservation. I meant to call the manager and tell her all this when she got back from leave but I felt like the two older women run the show. Im sure there is more. I will edit if I remember.
