I have toured this provider's facility, but have not used its services

I am writing this review as a parent who had reserved an infant spot at Bright Eyes in July 2016 for a scheduled start date in March 2020. We paid the $330 enrollment fee and first week tuition and completed all of his enrollment paperwork to reserve the spot with instructions to get back in touch with them a month before he was scheduled to start.  Unfortunately with the onset of COVID-19 and impacts to the childcare industry, we mutually agreed with Reagan on 3/19  that our child would join them when we felt that it was safe for him to attend. Upon my return to work, we connected with Reagan via email to inquire about us wanting to send them (9/3) and she responded to confirm their mobility capabilities and that she would be in touch with a start date for us.  This was unfortunately the last we heard from her despite the numerous email and phone outreaches from my husband and I to inquire about his spot or any updates. The lack of communication was so apparent that we actually had assumed the daycare may have not been operational which we would have understood. As new parents who were transitioning to the idea of sending our child to daycare during a pandemic, this time was made immensely more stressful by being completely ghosted from a child care center we had secured before our child was even born. Today I called the center again to try and get any update from my cell phone and was forwarded to voicemail. However when I  immediately hung up and called from my office line, I was finally able to get a person to answer.  I was then told by Reagan that she could now have a spot available for him in "early November" which is why she could not refund our initial deposit when I inquired about a refund.  She also claimed that she had left a voicemail informing me of the spot to my cell which I have no record of on my end. However, even if the voicemail did exist it does not excuse the several attempts we made to get an update from the center that went unanswered. To be clear, I cannot comment on the quality of care that Bright Eyes provides as our child never started. However as a first time parent new to the child care industry, I felt compelled to share how anxious and stressful this experience was for our family due to lack of communication and professionalism which I hope helps new parents when they are evaluating care options for your children.  We are actually relieved that we were able to find an alternative option and consider it a blessing that he did not end up being enrolled in the end.  Happy to provide additional information to anyone who has any questions at all on the events or dates cited.
