This center is constantly lacking supplies. Toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, utensils you name it they rarely have it. The classrooms are constantly over ratio meaning, if Pennsylvania says a room of 7 year olds can only have 10 children at a time present; CLC will ignore that rule and fill the room with 15 and send the other 5 children to other classrooms in the center. Drop your child off then come back a few minutes later to find them in another room, happens all the time. Illnesses go around like crazy because children aren't sent home when they should be and sick children are allowed to attend. School age program is a complete mess; there are plenty of local centers that structured much better for much less money. The playground is a big dirt pit in the back of the building that is filled with ticks. A handful of teachers seem to have their wits about them and the rest are just there to satisfy ratio requirements. Tuition is WAY higher than other places for low quality care. Bills are incorrect often and when you need help fixing them GOOD LUCK. Do yourself a favor and find a home daycare or a nanny.
I know that everyone posts negative comments about this place, but your first problem is sending your kid to a daycare. No daycare is perfect. I am a previous employee of this center and they did everything they could for the kids. Their organization was much better than that of other centers. I started working when I was in college and was told that I needed early childhood credits to work there, which I had. Maybe the parents should take some time to learn how to be a better parent before they verbally tear down this center without knowing anything about parenting. After working in the center I am currently at due to a relocation, I would give anything to be back at tclc. The bs that goes on at a government funded center is much much worse than TCLC. A lot of illegal activity with ratios....might I remind everyone that TCLC is a keystone stars 4 star center which is hard to do.
Ohhh, where do I start? The head teachers here are good as well as a small handful of others. However, that s where it stops. The assistant teachers are all high schoolers who have ZERO knowledge of child development. The management team is a JOKE! Katie S & Jackie have to go to Katie C. (the owner) for everything either she doesn’t trust them or they are incompetent, I have yet to figure out which. Katie C. is in “meetings” everyday however the REAL story is that she is actually a stay at home mom whose children are only enrolled one day a week. Why is that? Maybe she doesn’t trust the teachers either. As others have said, their accounting is a joke, I seriously wonder if they can balance their own checkbooks at home. So, please do yourself a favor and look for another daycare. I made the wrong choice to send my children here and they have paid the price for my mistake. Don t let yours pay the same price.

Philosophy
The Children’s Learning Center provides the highest quality of early childhood education and care for children 6 weeks of age through Pre-Kindergarten. Experienced educated teachers develop an inspiring curriculum to support the elementary school aged children enrolled in the Before and After School Program, including full and half day Kindergarten children. The Children’s Learning Center strives to strengthen families by creating programs for both working parents and stay at home parents. Parent classes and special events are offered to support the needs of the families and community.
