Little Brookland Daycare

My child has been attending this daycare/preschool for over a year. The education that he has received from the preschool has been outstanding, he will be more than prepared for Kindergarten. He loves going each day and is always so excited to talk about what he has learned. He has fun at the daycare before and after preschool. The facility is clean, organized and welcoming.

I have two children 2&3 years old. They never had a diaper rash and they are healthy most of the time. You can not expect any place with a lot of children to be perfect. Overall it is a clean and nice facility.

I wouldn't send my child here they don't really care about the child's health or safety. I've heard they will make employees come in and work if they are sick if I was a parent I would be extremely upset.

Our son was enrolled at Little Brookland for two months. In that time, the center had an almost complete turnover of staff. I am concerned that my son was not well cared for, and that very little, if any sanitation was demonstrated during his time there. He was sent home sick at least once a week (sometimes twice) and there was a documented scabies outbreak. The few times I dropped in unannounced, teachers in his room were not interacting with children at all. Instead, they were playing on their cell phones. Often my son would be extremely hungry when we got home, and his teachers refused to tell me if he ate, or even how his day was. When I asked for daily reports the reports were negative. One being "Your son doesn't know how to listen, he just cried all day" He hated going school. Once I realized that there was nothing that I could do to improve his time at Little Brookland, I removed him and put him in a new childcare center. The new daycare hasn't ONCE sent him home sick, he hasn't ONCE cried all day, or been sent home hungry. There is something wrong with Little Brookland. And they're too secretive to let you know what it is. The only reason I gave this a two star instead of a one star is because the two individuals who made the center bearable. Miss Megan, and Miss Rachel were wonderful, and caring. I wish the rest of the center were as great as them.
