Barrel Of Monkeys

My now 22-month-old son has been attending Barrel of Monkey daycare for 9 months. I have had nothing but great experiences with the staff. My son has had a wonderful time with his teachers. They transitioned him from the infant room to the toddler room and his socialization with other kids has been amazing. There has been a turnover of some staff, but many of the current workers have been there since he started 9 months ago.

If I could give negative stars as a rating, I would. My children went there since it first opened. Was excellent at first then as time went by and the older, experienced staff all left and was replaced by basically teenagers, all fall apart. Numerous times my daughter (an infant) was sent home without eating all day because "they just couldnt get her to eat." Any time there was a problem, it was never their fault and was all turned back on the parents as their fault. Several times late to work more than an hour because no one was there in the morning at the scheduled drop off time. During one phone call in which a complaint was being dealt with was hung up on 3 times by the person in charge. Was never able to actually speak to the owner about any of the problems as they were off limits.

I am very upset with this daycare. I signed up both of my children to start daycare. My son got really sick and was admitted into the hospital so I did not get to start the boys as planned. After my son got out of the hospital and back on his feet I called the daycare to see about a start date. They said sorry we filled his spot. Now isn't that what a registration fee is for? To hold your child's spot? And they are telling me I can not get my registration fee back. How about that?

I took my child out of this facility. They are awful, the fulltime staff has no idea what they are doing. They look like they have snotty preteens teaching in most of rooms. Staff members talk loudly and negatively about other staff members in front of myself and other parents. The teacher that my child liked never was in the room. Too much chaos, rude teachers, badly managed.
