Joyous Montessori

As a parent, my feelings are negative about this montessori school. Many kids are too unruly and indisciplined, might be because of their family background. Standard of education is highly sub-standard. Its a good day-care facility where a nanny is looking after kids while their parents are away.
More importantly, this school and the director does not treat their teachers with respect and even ask them to mop the floor after lunch hours instead of hiring cleaning staff. This is definitely resulting in demotivated teaching staff and motivation of teaching staff will have a negative impact on kids too.
I will suggest to avoid montessori school with Indian owners who don't take care of the basic needs and cleanliness inside the school to save few pennies.

We really love this school. We believe in the staff and the curriculum and it's helped our 3 year old really excel. She's way ahead on practical and academic skills. Very dependable and stable environment. Highly recommend

At Joyous Montessori we take great care of each child as well as our staff. All parents are updated about activities in the class by email and through Facebook and are invited to observe the class room and their child's activities. The parent with the negative review was given opportunity to work with the teachers on her child's behavioral issues but she instead started blaming it on the staff, at which point they were asked to leave the school. We encourage every prospective parent to visit our beautiful and welcoming facility, observe the class rooms and talk to the caring staff at Joyous Montessori.

The infant care program at this school is WONDERFUL! The teachers genuinly care for the children and it shows in how much the kids love them in return, they are taught basic sign language and words even at such young ages. It is nice to see them shaping the kids to their fullest potential while making it a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. The owner (Vandana) is always interacting with the parents and involving herself in the childrens activities instead of just sitting behind a desk. It is just a very warm and loving school, with caring staff that make you feel safe knowing your children are in good hands.

we moved to Mckinney area in April and were looking for montessori/pre-school near us for our 3 yr old.

As usual the reviews for every day care near us were good and bad, we visited few of them and finally enrolled the kid Joyous Montessori. Glad, we made the correct decision.

- Class Rooms are spacious and not cramped like some of the schools we visited

- Play Area was shaded by Trees and they have a computer centre and Gym.

- Staff were excellent and open to criticism and strive to provide excellent care of the kids

- They constantly update facebook with the kids activities, which feels like you are witnessing in-person when your kiddo is having fun.

- Tution fee is decent and they provide healthy lunch and snacks. They take care to provide vegetarian food on request.

They had a churn in staff initially,may be due to summer vacation, but the management notified us and handled the situation.

I love this daycare, they are so friendly and nice. My son has been there since he was 2 and he still goes there. One day he told me that he knows addition and I was very surprised. So I gave him some math problems and he got every question right.... wow! A four year old boy can do math!! I post on my Facebook to show all my friend because I was so proud of him and I really appreciate what they teach him. He also knows how to write and sound out the alphabet. I never expected him to learn anything from a "daycare". My only hope was that he would be happy there. He is very happy and has learned a lot! Thank you Joyous!

This daycare is AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a good daycare till Vandana Semwal took over then Tiffany Penley became director. If you ask Tiffany anything she says I dont know. She never knows anything the staff is awful half of them you can even understand what they are saying. The teachers argue with you about everything, the director (Vandana) even called me yelling at me while I was at work telling me her teachers wanted to quit because I wanted an incident report which they dont file theirs with the state. The teachers dont watch the kids my child came home with ink pen marks all over him because his teacher let him get her pen. If you drop your kid off i the breakfast room the teachers just stand around and talk, I saw a little girl put cereal up her nose and no one even was watching!!! They dont like you asking questions at all, they just want you to pay them and be done. They dont care about your child just your money. If your child gets hurt here, call the state to make sure they file it like they should. Ask how their cameras work, I got different stories every time I asked. My child is no longer going here and have been MUCH happier since!!! This place needs new staff!!!
