I worked for Wonderland Montessori and feel compelled to speak the truth about this school. The directer Rachel Deblanc is very deceiving. The is constantly teachers yelling at the children. You can just walk through the hallways and hear them. Rachel and her assistant Lisa do nothing to help the children they ignore it. I myself witnessed a teacher pinch and yell at a child in there face. If you see any markings on your childs armpits, fingertips, legs that look like scratches or nails please investigate. There was a primary teacher who had been accused of this and by a child and Rachel just moved the child to another classroom. Be careful of this place do not let your eyes fool you!
I love it at Wonderland Montessori Academy of McKinney!!! I honestly can't imagine a better school environment for my child to be! The staff is wonderful and the Director, Rachel DeBlanc, is so amazing! She truly has the children's, and the school's, best interest at heart. One of best things about the school is that when you walk in the front door you and your child are always greeted with a smile and wherever you look you always see a smiling face! It is so refreshing to see teachers happy! If you are looking for a place to put your child to make sure that they are safe and happy and loved then Wonderland Montessori Academy of McKinney is the place you want them to be!
I looked at several school and I found Wonderland in McKinney to be the best fit for our family. The staff are all very friendly and treat you like family. We have an infant and the rooms are extremely clean. Mrs. Jo and Kathy go out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable and do what they can to keep the children on schedule. My child did not start school until she was 9 months and within the first month she had learned some Spanish. I am very pleased with what I have seen and the one on one the kids have.
Front Desk: I LOVE the fact that the director sends out pictures of our children to us randomly. It is a great surprise to be working and see a picture of your child come through. The director and owner also worked with us on tuition since our child would only be there a few 4 days a week. This was the only school that would do so. It helped out a lot.
My child will be here years to come. When looking at schools I also took a look at their private schooling along with after school care. They have some amazing options.
