Cornerstone Preschool

My daughter attends this school. the school is very clean and some staff are very friendly when others you can tell that they don't love what they do. My daughter was attach to her first teacher for a month than we come in and we see another teacher we were never told that this was going to happend or even a call to prepare my daughter that she will be having a new teacher . She was scared and it was first day of school all over again 3 months later same thing!!!! Another teacher at this Time my daughter was confused that was a talk I had with her. Luckily this one has stayed but I felt like that wasn't fair for the director to do to us with not even telling us in advance. Also there's too many young assistants I walk in my daughter and there's a new assistant which I have never seen so how am I going to leave my daughter? They should have name tags. I have seen a lot of screaming to little kids from ages 1-2 it's sad . My daughter follows directions she's kind and listens to her teacher so luckly she hasn't had any problems but i suggest to always talk to your kids everyday and tell them what's right and wrong I always tel her that teachers should not scream at them and should never touch them in an angry way. She has had a positive year I see how she loves going and when she's upset at me she hugs her teacher that's a sign to me that she's treated well . But I don't think we will be coming for next year

update: so, today the principal of the school decided to kick out my niece after my sister told the principal that she was going to write a letter of complaint.
im currently investigating who over sees the school to file a complaint against it.

1.0 star rating 5/15/2015 Previous review this school is like a sheep in wolfs clothing!! a five year old is expected to stay still like a robot for 2 whole hours (nap time). or be punished!!

today i witnessed the most disgusting thing!! i went to pick up my niece today. as she was gathering her stuff she went to get her goodie bag that a parent brought to celebrate her daughters bday. then ms sarah told my niece that she ms virginia had said no she cant take it home.i waited until we got into the car and then asked her what happened.. she told me.."ms virginia told me since i didnt sleep at naptime that i couldnt have mygoodie bag". she is 5 years old for god's sake! and the mother of the girl who sent the goodie bags didnt tell ms virginia, "here, these goodie bags are for the children with a condition." ms virginia has no right to do that. but obviously she doesnt have a compassionate heart for children either!!

also tomorrow is my nieces bday! guess what? as i approached the classroom there was a huge banner stating" happy birthday b-------y the little girls name. ms melissa made it for her on behalf of the teachers and class...hmmmm.... christian school? school procedures for birthdays? where was my nieces birthday banner? dont schools acknowledge the childs birthday even if its on the weekend?
so obviously theres something horrible going on.
i am a mother of three children... an 18 yr old attends biola university, a 16 yr old and an 8year old. they all attended headstart preschool, i never witnessed such wickedness towards a child!! my sister sent her to cornerstone solely because it states to be christian!!

also, my mom wanted to send her bday cupcakes.. guess what?she was told no, we are a healthy school, you can bring "carrot sticks"!!!! are you kidding me??!!!
and ms virginia throws away the juice my niece takes for lunch. according to her the school rules. water only. last week my niece took the yogurt that comes with mini m &ms, well, ms virginia threw that away too!!! who does she think she is?

so, i called the front office spoke to assistant director of school. i began to tel her what i just witnessed.. she proceeded to be defensive.. she said she was instructed to only speak to my sister.. im just the aunt. but i told her, i just witnessed child being neglected. im reporting it. she didnt care. regarding the cupcakes she said, "children tend to eat the whip creme of the cupcake that has too much sugar. i said, but goodie bags filled with candy is ok?what is the level of sugar in candy compared to a cupcake? she just avoided my question and said that the goodie bags get sent home after school. and i said,well do the same with the cupcakes..

and with regards to naptime and my niece . she said that she "was told that she was talkiing during naptime "i told her, seriously a child is expected to sleep or stay still for 2 hours? or they get punished!!!!!??
no goodie bag for you!! :/

this school is a joke of a christian school,, public school is better! and freeeeee!

i took my niece to food4less. bought her cupcakes and tonight at church we will bless her and pray for those wicked women. Read less

I DO NOT recommend this day care the director Ms. Robin is very rude and sarcastic the 2 yr old teacher treats the 2 yr olds awful I personally seen the 2 yr old teacher in two separate occasions grab the children by 1 arm to pick them up while the child screamed when expressed my concerned to the principal she became very defensive and argumentative my child was very unhappy

I absolutly love this day care 5 stars! the staff and teachers are wonderful they are sweet and caring each student is treated with love. My son is attends this day care when he first satred he was very shy did not play with other children after the first week i  notice a huge diffrence. when we approach the school he gets so excited and actually runs to his class and waves bye to me!! lol ive never felt so comforable leaving my son i know he is in great hands here and trust me i have spyed many times lol  but i can honestly say i have never ever seen any of the children being mistreated
