Hi parents, I want to share my experience in case anyone happens to go through this at this school. I have 4 kiddos and all have been in this day care. My twin girls were attending the potty training room with the most inexperienced, incompetent and deceiving teachers. My daughters were neglected under the care of Adriana, Emily, Daniela and Nancy. These teachers were not washing my daughters hands, combing them, cleaning their face and they came home with frequent diaper rashes. At this point I was going through postpartum depression. On top of picking up my daughters dirty and not cared for they would constantly try to diagnose them with different things. My daughters were not allowed to have a bad day or have normal 2 year old tantrums. Things like crying when toys get taken from them, trouble transitioning, not sitting still, not falling asleep fast enough for nap time, or crying and screaming due to not being able to communicate. My daughters were being ignored due to going through terrible twos and having trouble adjusting with expectations for a 3 year old. Especially Emily and Adriana were so good at looking up mental health issues on google. They diagnosed and suggested that my daughters be evaluated because she might have autism, behavioral problems, aggression, insomnia, anxiety, misophobia, social anxiety, and being overstimulated. Even after telling them that they were receiving speech and occupational therapy virtually due to covid. They would constantly interrogate me and my husband every day after pick ups for 3 months. The answer was always the same. They would would ask us to bring the therapist to them so they can ask them how to keep our girls in their seats, how to help them listen better, how to stop throwing tantrums, etc. After 3 months of them neglecting my daughters, I spoke to Doris (Office) to let her know what was happening to my daughters and their constant interrogations. After winter break they stopped interrogating me every time we would pick up our girls but reported us to CPS for neglecting our daughters medically. Obviously we provided them with all our paperwork and the case was closed immediately. They retaliated and went to that extreme level to get my daughters kicked out of this daycare. This caused emotional distress and worsen my postpartum depression. They wanted them to be re evaluated and constantly suggested they be evaluated. They were evaluated through Regional Center and they didn’t qualify for any programs and were cleared mentally. They labeled the constant crying when transitioning and uncooperative behavior as tantrums. We went to get a second opinion through our private insurance and they cleared her and labeled the issues with the same thing TANTRUMS. Eventually we found out that they wanted our daughters to get evaluated in hopes that if they did come back with a mental diagnosis such as autism, behavioral or anything they would have to be excluded since this daycare is not specialized in special ed as they have called it. Since they couldn’t get them out since there were not diagnosed with anything they started fabricating lies. They started complaining of things my daughters never do at home or anywhere. Out of nowhere I would be called because my daughter had a hard time transitioning and they stated my daughter grabbed a chair and threw it across the room. Those chairs they have in that class are pretty big for my daughter to grab it put it above her head and throw it across the room, but of course they labeled my daughter as dangerous. During this time my daughters are still coming home with diaper rashes. I would have to air them out at home, apply ointment, give them oatmeal baths and change them more often then usual. I would take them to school with no diaper rashes but would pick them up with diaper rashes. I started keeping track of them and it would happen usually during the weekends or holidays so we wouldn’t be able to complain. We also have 4 kids under 4 so its hard to talk to the office when we have to go to work. My daughters eventually started crying when entering the parking lot and would not want to go to class. They stopped hugging the teachers and wouldn’t want to enter class. They would constantly go to the office and fabricate lies such as my daughters kicking during diaper changes but would not mention to the office that they were upset they were being changed after they had already seen dad outside and wanted to go with him like any child would want to. One day they gave me my daughter with big diaper rash it looked like a sunburn with 6 tiny blisters. I told them and they didn’t own up to it, they just tried to turn it on me instead. This rash doesn’t happen in 5 minutes when I pick up my daughters it was a diaper rash that they knew happened at school and yet lied about it. After I tell them that I been keeping track of all their diaper rashes for their sake. They retaliated and started with come pick up your daughter because she is being violent. They referred to my daughter being violent when my son who was in the 3 year old class had a boy who was 4 who punched him and gave him a black eye. The office didn’t do anything besides tell us we will move that boy who hit your son. Two weeks pass by and my son comes home with scratches from the same boy. He wasn’t labeled violent or excluded from the school he just got moved to the 4 year old class like nothing. However, they would trigger my daughter on purpose by not helping her transition and then make her look like a violent child that would hurt others. She never hurt another student but was lied about and accused of doing it anyways. They even told the office that the speech therapist had said that, “whoa she is too much and can’t be controlled.” Yet when we called our coordinator our speech therapist said tell the front office I will talk to them against the false accusations using her name. They would take it to the extreme until they finally got what they wanted. Emily would always say just communicate with us because we don’t have the best communication with the front office. Emily , Adriana, Nancy and Daniela would tell us how great our girls were doing and even wrote it on daily reports yet would go to the office and state different things that were not true about my daughters. All they wanted was for me to tell them so the office wouldn’t find out of what was really going on. Even when my daughter was on antibiotics and I let them know about it and to expect diarrhea as a heads up they accused my daughter of having the stomach bug. That was with a note from the doctors.
If you are a first time mom you can take your children 2 and up to head start programs in preschools in where you won’t have to pay and deal with things like this. This school wants perfect toddlers and is unrealistic. Some kids have a harder time with transitions or class expectations. My daughters were not even allowed to finish at least a month of in person speech, occupational, and child development therapy to see improvement as they learn to communicate. Those teachers just wanted them out to begin with. As a parent I never felt supported. It felt like it was always constant nagging of all the negative things they were doing and nothing positive.
