Children are a precious and valuable part of our families and community. Our programs are designed to provide a safe and secure place for children, ages two and half to eleven, to grow and develop. Children enjoy swimming, field trips, healthy snacks, and are part of an exciting learning environment. Please contact our Child Care Director,ÿDarla VanÿHorn, for additional information concerning our comprehensive Child Care Center. A part-time preschool program for children 3-5 years old, focusing on enhancement of kindergarten readiness skills. Children will participate in field trips, healthy snacks, swimming and age-appropriate activities. Also, we focus on the Y's four core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsiblity. The Marietta Family YMCA is proud to offer quality child care before and after school, to the youth in our community in kindergarten through 5th grade at Harmar, Washington and Phillips Elementary Schools. All of our Kids Company sites are licensed through Ohio Department of Jobs & Family Services and are participating in the Step Up to Quality Program. Washington and Phillips sites were awarded Star One and Harmar School is the only site in Washington County awarded Star Two. Our programs provide a safe and enriching environment for children to spend time before and/or after school. The daily curriculum is planned around monthly themes with activities that make learning fun. Time for doing homework and playing outdoors is also part of the day. Our mission is to partner with you to raise great kids. The program begins at 6:45 am until the start of school and then at school dismissal to 5:30 pm.
