Sadly i have to say there are many other school with better after school programs. This one is run by the YMCA and they charge $200+ monthly. Extra if your late. Another negative thing is there are college students with no experience who watching your children and no planned activities. Last but not least the college students who watch the children help with homework, which is great! but sadly they are giving them the answers to the homework.

About the Provider
Our curriculum is based on a program model that focuses on learning enhancement, health and recreation, and building competence and confidence in children. The program runs every regular school day, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., in a supervised and structured environment, providing a safe after school alternative for children. The staff-to-student ratio is 1:10 and the site capacity can range from 24 to as many as 500 children.
Y After School is offered at low or no cost to parents, thanks to generous support from the NYC Department of Education, NYC Department of Youth & Community Development, federal grants through the 21st Century Community Learning Centers, The After-School Corporation, leading corporations, foundations, individual donors and our Strong Kids Campaign. Y After School programs are offered at more than 140 sites throughout the city, most of which are New York City public elementary and middle schools, serving more than 15,000 girls and boys each year. Contact your local Y to learn about how you can enroll your child in this great program.
