My husband and I enrolled our 2 daughters in July 2020. Oldest was 5yrs old and youngest was 4 months old. I’ve noticed a couple of things wrong with my infant, she had on other clothes that I didn’t not provide in her bag. I was given someone else blankets, I have a daughter and I was given a boys blanket. I received another baby bottle, and pacifier. There were a couple of times when k picked up my daughters, my infant had on a wet pamper, like she was in it when I dropped her off. As my infant got into the toddler room, my husband noticed none of the kids were getting feed. He asked the teacher when do they eat breakfast and the teacher says she doesn’t feed them. Then my oldest daughter teacher was always screaming at the kids, every time I picked her up after work I hear the teacher yelling and go back on phone. My daughter also said while all the kids were outside on the play ground, there were other boys playing on the basketball court and my daughter and other kids say that they had a gun and told the teacher, but the teacher said they didn’t have one. Do not take your kids here, you pay a tuition and they don’t feed your kid, change them properly and you get other kids toys, clothes, etc..
I say 3 Stars for a few reasons.
1) they compare themselves to other nearby daycares. Brooklyn states they increased their prices bc that’s what other day cares are Charging in price, however their cirriculum is better, their turn over rate is lower, their teachers are paid better , they have fire trucks come visit the kids, the menu is healthier, so why would wind mills farm now known as bear creek lodge charge the same price as other institutions that’s are better than theirs.
2) the teachers they hire are young adults who just need a job and have no passion for children. Have you seen the hiring requirements for Phoenix or barn yard ? Windmills farm has so much youth working as infant and toddler teachers, if it wasn’t for my kid who speaks and tells me what goes on when he gets hurt it would scare me leaving my child in the hands of another kid aka 20 year old.
3) upgrade your payment System offer online payment options it’s 2018 so get with the program.
And lastly my suggestion as a parent who is here everyday to pick up my kid(s) control the AIR Why is it always hot or too cold in the rooms i don’t understand.
My grandson, (4 years old), goes to this center, and is always happy to arrive. He speaks well of his teachers and friends. The owners are there much of the time and are friendly and very kind to the children and the parents. The Assistant Director is very energetic, and always welcoming to everyone that comes in. I love this center.
I have two children that attend this center, and I will say that we would never leave this daycare simply for the fact that the owners ARE very involved, and all staff members are knowledgeable and it is obvious that they love all the children at this center. I am very disappointed that a former family would make allegations towards this center only due to the fact that their child got asked to not return. What this family is not saying is that their child was being very violent, using horrible language, and putting my child in harms way. Since the management does take their time to listen to concerns, my family is staying due to the fact that child is gone, keeping my child safe. We love you Windmill Farms Private School, keep doing what is right for ALL children!
This daycare is horrible. They are extremely racist. The directors, Tyson and Kelly are never there and the person they leave in charge, Brooklyn, is very unprofessional. In a room full of 2 year olds they chose to single out the black kid in order to blame him for all the behavior issues with the Caucasian students in the class. He was then asked not to return to the school. Clearly, having a daughter that works there I was made aware of what was going on but tried to stay until school was out. Luckily for me I am in a position where this doesn’t put me in a bind. If you don’t want your child mistreated or lied on this is definitely not the place to be.
I have used them for a little while. This place has very poor supervision. Things happen and they either dont tell you or they have no explanation. If your kids does something, the owners response is to kick your kid out vs dealing with the problem with no notice. The owners are not accessable unless its in the middle of the day. Been though 3 directors in a year. Nice place looks wise but suck management wise. I highly unrecommend his place unless your chid is perfect. They kick out everyone eventually. Tyson is very unprofessional. Plus the place is supposed to be Christian based but that is just a front because that is far from it.
DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AWFUL AWFUL. The owners are the WORST EVER. They are NEVER around. The Director was amazing, but most of the staff, including Director finally walked out. This place stinks, no security, very rude families come in and out, very classless. We had our child go here and then pulled her out fast and a WAY better, classier, nicer place. A ton of illnesses go around this place, I mean unfortunately I wish I had better news but I don't. So spare yourself and your children from being exposed to this!
After today it's a must I write a review! My son LOVES this school!! I took my son out of one school bc I just didn't get a good vibe. My son cried every day for three weeks when I drop him off at the other school. With him being 19 months old he's unable to let me know what's going on. When I switched him to Windmill Farms I was a little reluctant bc of the reviews I read, but I talked with the owner Keli and she went over everything with me. What I liked about our conversation is that she never tried to butter me up to force my son in the school. She spoke her side and when I heard he did it made me comfortable enough to move forward, and I'm so glad I did. My son cried everyday at the other school, and now he tells me bye half as he walking to his class when I'm dropping him off in the morning. As in if I can leave. Today he actually cried bc he had to leave. Every teacher there is nice, and love my son. It makes me feel VERY comfortable as a parent that my son is in good care and he loves where he is at.. Not to mention they are potty training my son too!! Go Windmill Farms!!!
After touring many facilities in Forney, my husband and I decided that Windmill Farms Private School was the school for us. The facility not only smelled good from the moment we walked in, the staff was very friendly and the management never once made us feel like we were taking to much of there time. I loved the fact that the owners are very involved, and remembered our kids name and made it certain that all of our questions were answered before we left. If your looking for a warm and inviting childcare center, this is for you.
This a very nice facility, however, the staff and male owner are VERY disrespectful, hateful, and unprofessional. When my child came home bit 3 times within a 3 week period and none of the staff knew what happened the owner kicked my son out of daycare. The owner simply said, "three bites in a month is not a big deal" I however thought differently. I understand that biting happens, but when it happens 3 three times and nobody knows what happens tells me that the children are not being watched properly. When I would ask the teachers anything the only answer I would get would be, That didn't happen with me, or, "He didnt cry. " When I told him i was going to call state, the owner then said that I was threatning him and threatned to call CPS on myself. Never will I trust them again with my child/children.
* Their teachers are incapable of watching the children
*The teachers could not specify when a child was bit. Not once, not twice, but 3 different times they have said they didn't know when the incident occurred.
*They claim to be teaching Christian values, however, Tyson, one of the owners, is VERY HATEFUL and handled things extremely unprofessionally!
*Their teachers are untrained and have no concept of keeping the children safe!
If you have a child that is quiet and is low maintenance then they are ok but if you have a strong willed child or a child that can tell you what goes on then it's not the place for you. They have kicked out (3) 4 year olds since we have been there. All boys!! The want to uphold a high standard which would be great except for the fact that they hire young teachers with no experience. My child came home injured and I asked him why he didn't tell someone and he said because my teacher just says "good go sit down". I saw her bring a little girl to tears because she was mad that she had to clean up her milk spill arguing with her. The little girl said she was going to tell her mommy and te teacher responds with saying "well I'm not the one who spilled my milk". The teachers are NOT very nurturing. The teachers talk about the kids they can't stand in front of them and parents. Bottom line is they have a poorly trained teaching staff.
This place was terrible. After MULTIPLE incidents (one including a trip to the ER) in a very short time frame, I removed my child/children from here. I would not recommend this place to anyone who expects quality childcare.
Child safety is a very large concern. My son has been bullied, was in 2 fights and finally had stitches before we realized that the supervision of the children isn't going to get better after being assured by the owner that he was on top if the situation(s)!
