Description: Dependable, creative and convenient before and after school care for 5 to 12 year olds. Our program is located at Chautauqua, ensuring familiarity for your child and flexibility for you. Whether you are a parent at work, doing errands on the mainland, or taking time for your own projects, Vashon kids is an affordable option for all families. Your child can come full or part time, depending on your needs. We can often accommodate drop-in dates for those days when your schedule gets turned around. We are in our sixteenth year of providing creative programming that creates a community of learning and play. Our experienced staff focus on encouraging your child's unique spirit while teaching your child to play healthfully, accept differences & resolve conflicts respectfully. During the school year we have a designated homework time where staff are there to assist children with their homework. Because our staff communicate and work with Chautauqua staff, we can provide coordinated learning with school curriculum and events. Academic and enrichment activities focus on science, art, humanities, literacy and sports.
