The staff really care about my son, and I am so happy that I was able to find this center. I have been a father of a child at Millennium for the past 3 years and have seen my son grow up very happy.

I have been a parent with Millenium Kids since 2008. All of the teachers are wonderful and most have been there for many years. Several are bi-lingual and help teach the children German and Spanish.

I love Millenium Kids. We have strong parent involvement, hot breakfast every day, loving teachers, hot lunch and snacks. My kids have never had lice and I am not sure I have ever even heard of a lice at the center. I volunteer to help with the annual auction and read in the classroom on occasion. Parents raise thousands of dollars for the school, so children can have Yoga class and Spanish class for free. A piano teacher comes once a week to teach piano and the kids can go to ballet during the school year and swimming at Normandy Park Swim club during the summer.

I had my children at other daycare centers and I was sad to leave them. At Millenium Kids it is like you are dropping them off at their grandma's house with a ton of long time friends. There is a waiting list, with many families wishing and waiting to get in. Millenium Kids does not advertise because they are busy based on word of mouth.

MKCC is well-known by the surrounding grade schools for providing one of the least educational preschool-based programs. The children “graduating” the program test, on average, at a much lower level than kids coming out of Montessori programs or church-based preschools.  I learned from one of the other parents that parents “in the know” leave MKCC for other preschool programs if they value education for their children.  The Montessori or church-based preschool programs have trained adults who are dedicated to ensuring your child’s intellectual growth.  The preschool at MKCC is described as a 4 hour per day program.  I subsequently learned that over two of these hours are taken up by nap time, snack, and recess.  So, only two interrupted hours are dedicated to their curriculum.  The course content is admittedly “pinched” from one of the other local programs (but does not come with the support that other programs offer).  In addition, since it is not considered a daycare program, the daycare itself can jam many more kids into the room with one teacher who is understandably overwhelmed.  I wish I knew sooner that this program was considered substandard by the area educators.  I will not be enrolling my other children there.
