I worked as an Assistant Teacher in this daycare from April 24 to May 12, from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm. Ms. Irma told me at the job interview that they pay every two weeks. On Friday of my first week, when they paid to the rest of the teachers, they didn't pay me because "they closed last week." On Friday of my third and final week, despite notifying my resignation a week earlier, I was only paid for two weeks of work. A check that took until Tuesday to clear for cashing it because it was weekend. Also, they made me wait 15 days for my 3rd week payment and my check is not ready today because the owner forgot it, went out of town and asks me to keep waiting until Wednesday. Instead of making me a direct deposit! The administration of this school is absolutely irresponsible, for it did not do what was appropriate to ensure my payment today like the rest of the employees. This is America, here you don't play with other people's money because we all have to pay our bills. They are ashamed. If you are coming to the United States, stick to the rules of this country. Look what a bullshit answer that Ms. Irma gave me as a Director of Vanguard Academy: «I'm sorry, there are things out of my hands». She had 15 days to remind the owner make my check. Thanks!
