UTPB Child Care Center

In the fall of 2010, The University of Texas of the Permian Basin will open a 28,000 Square foot, state of the art, Student multipurpose Center. Located in the heart of the UTPB campus, the center will house a food court, dining facility, coffee shop, student recreation areas and lounge, a workout room, men's and women's lockers, offices for student life and student organizations and a much needed childcare center for the exclusive use of children of UTPB students. Despite students' constant need for childcare, never before in its history has UTPB had an opportunity to offer childcare on campus for children of students. When the Student Senate of UTPB initiated the building of a new Student Multipurpose Center, it was with the provision that it would house a childcare center for the exclusive use of UTPB students. The Childcare center will have the capacity to care for 35 children throughout the day and evening, from ages 18months- 10 years. The goal of the childcare center is to provide a quality childcare for children of UTPB students on campus to enable parents to pursue their studies with confidence that their children are well cared for.
