University Student Apartments operates the Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC), a high quality child care program licensed by the State of Utah. This education-based child care center is located in the East Community Center in the East Village of University Student Apartments. Programs are available for children ages two through eight with care available from 7:00a.m. to 6:00p.m including morning and afternoon snack. A nine-week Summer Enrichment Program (SEP) including fun themes and field trips is available from June to August each year. After school programs are available year round with bus drop off for children attending Indian Hills Elementary School.

ECEC gives priority registration to children of University Student Apartments residents, University of Utah students, faculty and staff. Enrollment is available to the community at large on a space-available basis.
