Traditions Children's Center V, Bldg 100

We moved to Urbandale in August 2021, I enrolled two children in Traditions. We love, love, loved them (except the one time I picked up my son early and witnessed a staff member belittling a3/4 year old). However on the first week of winter break from school, my school aged autistic son had his first meltdown in 4 months of attending there. Come to find out, the director, his teacher were both gone and they had all new staff there that day. This was not communicated with me at all. (pretty important information for a special needs child.) The staff put my child in more then one hold/restraint procedure illegally, as they do not have CPI training nor permission from myself to do this. They called me to pick him up, I did. One hour later they called and said he could not return but I could speak to the owner to appeal and explain the situation. The next day, they kicked my younger child out of the daycare system as well without calling me or notifying at all. I called for 2-3 weeks, I would be placed on hold and hung up on several times. They would screen the calls and not answer, I left several voicemails. I called another facility to get corporate's number so I could pick up my children's belongings and they never called me back. They never refunded me any money for the week I paid for and they did not attend. Completely unprofessional. I would not recommend this childcare at all.
