State licensed and inclusive, Child Care at TradeWinds promotes early childhood development and school readiness for infants, toddlers, 2-year-olds and preschoolers ages 3-6.
Welcoming children of all abilities with an emphasis on those who have developmental, behavioral, physical and/or healthcare needs, TradeWinds believes all children have the right to learn and play with their peers. The embrace of children of all abilities sets TradeWinds apart from other local childcare centers.
For parents, guardians and other caregivers faced with the difficult choice of working or staying home to care for a child with special needs, TradeWinds provides a safe, healthy and appropriate environment with individualized plans and specialized supports. TradeWinds also serves low-income families in Lake County as a Geminus Head Start/Early Head Start partner.
Under the guidance of a dedicated curriculum coordinator with support from a full-time nurse and the licensed speech and occupational therapists at TradeWinds, each child enrolled receives a comprehensive initial screening to create his or her individualized plan with routine assessments to track progress on key developmental milestones and identify specific goals or opportunities for success along the way.
