About the Provider
ToTH Montessori, founded as Toddlers on the Hill in 2012, is an independent Montessori school for children between the ages of 18 months and 6 years of age. Our school is located in the first floor suite of the Arthur Capper Recreation Center in the Navy Yard neighborhood of Washington, DC. ToTH is a member school of the International Montessori Council. We offer full-day and part-day programs for toddlers and a full-day primary program for children ages 3-6, including the kindergarten year. Learn more about our programs.
ToTH is committed to offering our community a high-quality and high-fidelity Montessori school that best meets children’s unique developmental needs. The Montessori educational method and philosophy, developed more than a century ago by Italian physician Maria Montessori, promotes independence, self-motivation, and personal responsibility. Our trained teachers offer kind and caring guidance that nurtures children’s cognitive, physical, social and emotional growth.
