| Findings: At the time of inspection, LS was approaching one of the infant classrooms, when the lead teacher walked behind LS and reentered the room. Only an aide had been present alone in the room with three infants during nap time. LS was shown a substitute log and lead teacher explained that the aide was substituting while she conducted an interview for 15 minutes. LS explained that a substitute should not be used for someone who is present, and should only be used when a staff member is absent. A substitute should not be used for a staff to perform other job duties, and the staff/child ratio for a group of children under two should be maintained at all times during rest time. | |||
