Description: The Waseca School was founded in 1993 with the intention of offering an early Montessori education to a diversity of students: especially, those who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity. Respect for the child as a being capable of self-development and independence is inherent in the Montessori philosophy and makes it possible for any child to reach his or her fullest potential. A food program with whole, unprocessed foods and an environmental ethic have always been core values of our community. We strive to help children establish a strong connection with nature and to view the world as an interconnected biosphere.
