Our experience with sunshine house was probably the worst experience we’ve ever had with a childcare center. My child has a mild disability and because of this the director was hesitant to even allow us to enroll. Once we were allowed to enroll, the director and the lead teacher of the class my children would be a part of, informed all the other children in the class that my child would be joining the class the next day, and he was “different”. This was done before anyone from the center had even met my children. My son’s disability is mild and mainly affects the way he learns. We were there for 2 days and then informed that we would be allowed a few more days the next week and if things didn’t get better we would be asked to leave. My child wasn’t violent, he never put anyone in danger, he just has ADHD and got bored sitting in a classroom all day which is basically what he did both days he was there.
My younger child who is usually mild mannered and enjoys meeting new people cried about having to go back to sunshine house after the first day. She said the teachers were rude and made fun of the children.
The director at this location seems to be off campus or on vacation quite a bit. When she is there she’s rude and unprofessional and in my opinion someone who shouldn’t be working with children, or other people in general.
