Teachers and students at Sunrise work together in applying both traditional and innovative approaches to learning that build a strong academic foundation and encourage the spirit of creativity, curiosity, and productivity. Expectations are high for all students. Through such practices as literature-based reading instruction, guided reading, a manipulative approach to math through the Everyday Math® series, writing using the Lucy Calkins Units of Study ® approach, application of the scientific method and multiple assessments, our students continue to grow and achieve.
Throughout the day the needs and unique learning styles of each individual student are taken into account as the curriculum is modified to challenge the highly motivated students, encourage the reluctant learner, and reach all students in between. At Sunrise, every student’s progress is important.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
