About the Provider
You will find Dakota Valley Elementary School to be a very safe, welcoming and student-centered environment where students can grow and learn. I am fortunate to have a staff that values this philosophy while also setting very high standards for student learning. We are a preschool through 5th grade building with more than 800 students. Though we are a large school, we have maintained a family-like atmosphere with our four track calendar.
We recognize that parents are our students’ first and best teachers. We encourage our parents to be active partners in the school, ensuring the success of their children. We have a very active Parent Teacher Organization, many opportunities to volunteer in the school and classrooms, and a strong PASS (Partnership for Academically Successful Students) committee. All provide many, many opportunities to get involved. Additionally, we typically have over 90% attendance at Parent-Teacher conferences illustrating that parents are also committed to helping us achieve our mission of student success.
