Description: Sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart, St. Anne’s is a wonderful combination of an “old” Los Angeles charity and a leading-edge social service agency. Since first opening its doors in 1908 as a safe refuge for unwed, pregnant young women, St. Anne’s has continuously responded to meet the changing needs of today’s society and evolved into one of the most highly regarded social service agencies committed to developing and sustaining programs that address the special needs of at-risk, pregnant and/or parenting young women, children and families.
Today, St. Anne’s serves some of the most abused, abandoned, neglected and otherwise challenged young women and children in Los Angeles County. Multiple foster placements, consequences of community and familial violence, poverty and histories of abuse have resulted in unfortunate consequences and without assistance they are unlikely to be able to support themselves or care for their own children properly, putting them at heightened risk of entering the same cycle. St. Anne’s offers an array of comprehensive programs including: residential treatment care, transitional housing, mental health, child care, family literacy, family preservation, educational and vocational preparation, as well as access to, and collaborations with, other agencies and providers.
All of St. Anne’s programs strive to empower and educate, according to each individual’s specific needs, by providing the highest level of care and resources so as to help young women and children recognize their own value and potential, giving them the hope and the tools needed for a better future. When clients leave St. Anne’s, they have developed the skills necessary to lead healthy, independent and productive lives, as citizens and as parents, breaking the cycle of homelessness, poverty, abuse and neglect for generations to come.
With the help and dedication of over 400 volunteers and the generosity of many individuals and community partners, St. Anne’s remains determined to address the ever-changing needs of this vitally important population.

I totally agree with the review above. This is a horrible day care and I wouldn't recommend it to any parent that actually cares about their child's well being. After checking my son in the daycare he started to get diaper rashes every other week from the day care staff improperly cleaning my son during diaper changes. I would get written notices if I was only 5 minutes late bit when my son would get injured under their care they wouldn't always document it or notify me. My son was getting abused by day care teacher Claudia and after I notified the school and got DCFS involved the school never fired her. The continued to let a neglectful child Abuser (teacher Claudia) continue to work there at the ELC. They acted as if my son didn't matter so I checked him out. I recommend that action for every parent. If they have no kids to mistreat or neglect it would raise more awareness to the philanthropist and parents that donate money to this poor investment.
Horrible! I thought this was a great school an that they would keep my child safe. This school definitely is inadequate at reporting ALL incidents involving children's injuries while under the Early Learning Centers supervision. This staff really sticks together no matter if their negligent or not. They do a bad job at scrutinizing their employees work ethics. definitely wouldn't recommend this day care to anyone who has children. St Anne's is wonderful at covering up there teachers and staff mistakes and wrong doings. do license checks when you deal with their teachers.
