When the licensing specialist entered the Dolphins classroom, she observed one staff member with 17 four and five year olds. Shortly after, a second staff member entered the classroom. When asked, she stated she left the classroom to grab something from the classroom next door. This was discussed with the staff member and corrected when she agreed to comply in the future. Ensure proper supervision is provided at all times. According to a conversation with a staff member, preschool-age and school-age children are permitted to leave their classrooms to use the bathroom located in the hallway directly next to their classrooms without proper staff supervision. According to staff, a staff member stands in the classroom doorway to supervise children in the bathroom. This was discussed with staff and corrected when they agreed to comply in the future. | |||
