I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My experience with this Child Care facility has been great. I do not use them now because I work at my granddaughter school as a Family and Community Liaison. This Center has helped me through some rough times in the past being a grandmother raising a grandchild. They are also helpers in the Community. They help the families who have financial difficulties as well provide the children with excellent services. They also invite their families to retreats and other events. I thank them for all they do!!!

My son is almost 2 years of age and I enrolled him at Learn Play & Grow 5 months ago to be closer to my clinical site because I am a nursing student. Since enrolling my son at this center I have encountered many issues. The biggest problems I have encountered is the staff is unprofessional and will display a rude attitude if you have a concern regarding your child. I had to bring attention to a situation in which when I picked my son up his diaper was soiled. I decided to change him before leaving the facility, upon changing him I discovered dried feces stuck to his bottom. I informed his teacher and she was not concerned and rather bothered that I was upset and wanted to know why he had dried feces on him. Instead of her being proactive in the situation, she placed blame elsewhere and told me she was unable to help me with my problem because she did not do his last diaper change. I then notified the owner and she returned my call and seemed to care somewhat. Following that incident the staff gave very poor attitude towards me because I addressed an issue regarding my son's care. This is just one incident upon others that had lead to my withdrawal of my child. My main complaint is the staff lack of professionalism. When I notified the director of the center the owner's daughter who works at this location she has no real interest in resolving any concerns and she tends to make excuses for things that take place with her staff. Upon dealing with the teachers speaking to them regarding any concerns, they will correct you and explain to you that they know their job and while saying so you will receive head rolling, hand gestures and many grammatical error's when they are speaking. The owner of this center has her family members working at her place of business and they are not professional and do not care about the children well being or educating the children. My son has been their 5 months and have never come home with any type of art project or learning worksheet of any type. The staff is withdrawn from educating the children but are very propelled with leaving on time. When I arrive to pick my son up at 4pm all the children coats are on and they are sat in one area until their parents arrive, so the staff can clean their rooms so their able to leave as soon as possible. The owner leaves her daughter to handle all issues at this center and I don't feel family should be hired because of kinship but because of credentials. The daughter seems withdrawn and takes concerns with a mild concern and seems to find a way to reside with her staff right or wrong. Be careful and be alert when enrolling your child here because you are your childs advocate despite if anyone finds it annoying or bothersome. Have a blessed day.
