I have used this provider for less than 6 months

I registered my child here on Jan.15, 2021and had her start on the 19th. When I came they told me that I had to pick her up at 12 pm for the first 3 days, even though that was not mentioned in their paperwork or mentioned verbally when I registered her. They didn’t offer me a discount and I paid full price. I told them no, I cannot pick her up at 12 pm. They argued with me inside the daycare until I spoke to the director, Ms. Mary (who didn’t tell me in the first place) and relented. No apology. My daughter ended up getting sick on Thursday, so I picked her up and saw the doctor. I didn’t send her back Friday. I pulled my daughter out officially on Monday morning by asking for her belongings to take her to a new daycare. I received a call from them yesterday on Thursday at 10.01 asking to speak to my husband. When I said I was his wife they hung up. The call lasted 16 seconds. I wrote a lengthy complaint about them in a mom group on Facebook. They called my husband that afternoon claiming that they were calling about a blanket they didn’t return. Why didn’t they tell me that when they had me on the phone. Their supporters on Facebook attacked me personally for complaining all of yesterday and this morning calling me a liar and telling me that I don’t deserve to have friends as a new resident to Bayonne. I wrote them an email this morning requesting a refund for $75 registration fee and the weekly fee of $200 less than the day and 2 hours they had my daughter in their care, which is fair. They have yet to reach out to me to smooth things out after receiving my request for a refund.Very incompetent, disturbing, catty, and disgusting in my opinion. Have proof of payment, registration, Facebook attacks, calls, paperwork, etc..

Enrolling my son into Smile of a Child was THE BEST decision our family could have made!! Leaving your child with anyone other than family can be nerve racking. But from day 1 and on, I was reassured my son was in good hands when I received constant text messages and pictures assuring me that he was doing just fine. He grew to love Smile of a Child over a short time, and so did we! Ms. Mary and her staff have become our FAMILY! Not only are they amazing teachers but they are such wonderful women who have a true passion for what they do - teach, nurture, guide, love, etc. Ms. Mary and her team made sure the children were always engaged with various learning activites including field trips to the library, guest speakers, visits from the police dept or fire dept... And even better, families were always given the option to be involved. We truly are one big FAMILY at Smile of a Child. My son has grown tremendously since the time he was enrolled into Smile of a Child - socially, academically, and more. Now, he is confident, outspoken, advanced among his peers. And this is THANKS to Smile of a Child! I can't say enough about this preschool/day care who is perfectly lead by Ms. Mary!!!
