Description: Welcome to School Avenue Child Care Center, a unique early child care education center in the heart of Sarasota, serving children 12 months to 5 years. It is our goal to provide children with a clean, comfortable, inviting environment, a family-like atmosphere and a quality preschool experience. We see each child as a unique and strive to work with families to help each child reach their full potential. In creating this school, we found inspiration from Vittorino Ramboldini and the "Casa Jocosa" or “Pleasant House†which he created in fifteenth century Italy. As a prominent educator, Vittorino endeavored to make his school as pleasant and enjoyable as the ideal home. The school he started near Mantua earned the name "Pleasant House" because of its pleasant surroundings and the spirit that prevailed therein. We like to think of our historic yellow house on School Avenue as Sarasota’s “Pleasant House†– a place where children can learn, explore, discover, create, and most of all, feel at home.

My daughter attended for almost 3 years, my son currently attends. LOVE this school! Sweet staff, clean and cozy, lots of individualized attention. Highly recommend!
