They play favoritisms in the East River community center. The director Mr. Rob who currently runs the after school programs and summer camp only wants to deal with the children who he and his mother is cool with. Most of the children who lives in east River has been kicked out (like my son) for having too much emotion. He does not know how to work with special needs children and will kick your child out of the center if you speak up for your child. (This happen to my friend two children a few days ago over a fight that she or her son did not start but because the aggressor dances for East River Day he did not get kick out it’s all about who’s who in that center). Most of the children who attend the East River Scan community center is the children from the Wilson housing and children of who him and his mother gets along with. It’s all about popularity in East River Scan Community Center and it should be about the kids. They let the popular kids beat up on the unpopular kids and special needs kids and when the unpopular kid reacts or if the special needs kids react. The unpopular kids gets kicked out. It’s to the point where parents are now coming together to figure out how are we going to start our own community center for the kids who have been kicked out, pushed to the side, or overlooked by Mr. Rob due to their unpopular status (meaning if the child parents is not popular they are ignored or if the kids is not dancing for East River day or apart of the cool crowd they are overlooked and mistreated) and special needs (in his words which I have recorded “we don’t have time for emotional behaviors) their children for crying out loud they are suppose have an emotion. And they only hire their friends, family and people they grew up with so everything can stay in house.
