About the Provider

Located at the corner of Grant and K streets, the Child Development Center is open to the community and SBVC students with children. The center’s mission is to provide high-quality child development experiences for infants up to 5-years-old.

It is monitored by the California State Department of Education and is subject to child care licensing regulations established by California’s Department of Social Services for center-based care.

The Child Development Department (different from the Child Development Center) offers academic and vocational programs for students. The academic program is oriented toward preparing students for Associate of Arts degrees and continuing on to a four-year university. The vocational program connects with the academic program to prepare students for immediate employment.
